What is Minority/Women/Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Certification?
What it means for your business.

Getting certification as a Minority (M), Woman (W), or Disadvantaged (D) owned Business Enterprise by a recognized agency such as the City of Chicago, Cook County, State of Illinois, or CTA (these are just a few examples), opens the door to great opportunities for growing your small business.
Each year, the many branches of government –Local, County, State, Federal – procure BILLIONS OF DOLLARS worth of goods and services from the Small Business community.
Of those BILLIONS, each government unit has goals to set aside a percentage specifically for M/W/D Business Enterprises. These percentages range from 10% to over 30%.
Many prime contractors (non-Small Businesses/Fortune 1000) also have diversity outreach goals, and actively search for Certified M/W/D Businesses for procurement opportunities. If you’re a Small Business owner and would like to get your business certified as a Minority, Women, or Disadvantaged Business, than you’ll definitely want to attend our Hands-On Certification Workshop:
