Mission in Focus – 2012 http://www.paccgc.org/?p=807 http://www.paccgc.org/?p=807#comments Fri, 02 Mar 2012 20:26:57 +0000 admin http://www.paccgc.org/?p=807 Keeping the Mission in Focus

The PACCGC’s most important mission is to assist and develop the Fil-Am Small Business Community.

Keeping that mission in focus during these difficult economic times has been challenging, but is of even more importance than ever.  Successful Fil-Am businesses provide employment, prosperity, and help for the overall economy and community.

This year, we are renewing our efforts toward small business development with a number of programs we will make available to members and new entrepreneurs.  Many of these programs will focus on the “nuts and bolts” of small business development – Start-up, Legal, Accounting, Finance, Planning, Long Term Care Insurance Planners, Marketing, and Sales are a few of the areas where we will provide information, resources and workshops.

We are also developing a “Business Opportunities” program, where we will focus on specific areas forecasted for growth, along with start-up assistance.

A few of these areas of concentration are:

Health Care

Education

Consulting

Finance

Insurance

Green Technology

Information Technology

Import/Export

Food Service

Franchising

Business Opportunities 2012 http://www.paccgc.org/?p=798 http://www.paccgc.org/?p=798#comments Fri, 02 Mar 2012 20:06:44 +0000 admin http://www.paccgc.org/?p=798 2012 is well underway and we are looking forward to seeing more successes in our Philippine-American Business Community.

The past few years of dealing with a world economy in recession has affected many in our business community in ways we could not have imagined.  Almost every industry that our community has been involved in has been impacted.   From Real Estate to Health care, to Restaurants and Technology, everyone has had to make adjustments in one form or another.

For those that were successful in adapting, and to those that have had to reinvent themselves, 2012 is a year full of challenges and unprecedented opportunities.

New industries and services have sprung up to replace the ones that were lost, and a new era of “In-sourcing” has been taking root.

The PACCGC has a renewed commitment to ensuring your success, and have re-dedicated ourselves to the mission of “Business Development”.

In 2012 our goal is to see MORE small businesses established, and we will utilize all our resources to see that happen.

If you’ve ever wanted to start a business or would like to learn about the various opportunities that are available to you, please CONTACT US right away.  We will get you started on the path to your success!

The PACCGC is a Delegate Agency for the City of Chicago’s Department of Housing and Economic Development.   We have resources and services available to help you find economic success.

Searching for Opportunities – Focus on the GREEN! http://www.paccgc.org/?p=623 http://www.paccgc.org/?p=623#comments Fri, 02 Mar 2012 16:22:49 +0000 admin http://www.paccgc.org/?p=623 Focus on Green Technology and Development:

Solar Photovoltaic, Wind, Renewables, Green Home/Energy Efficiency

A lot has changed since we began discussing opportunities in the Green Technology.  One of the hoped-for shining stars of Green Tech – Solyndra, went into Bankruptcy.  An Electric Car manufacturer that was to be a huge jobs creator in Indiana also failed.

Does that mean that Green Tech is dead?  Absolutely NOT.  As with almost every new development that has come before, there were spectacular failures and even more spectacular successes.

Green Technology is one of those that will constantly evolve and will continue to have failures, but even more importantly, Spectacular Successes!

Mayor Rahm Emanuel has announced an infrastructure initiative designed to generate employment, and this initiative includes a number of Green Technology opportunities.

This is only the beginning of a Long Beginning, so the opportunities are only just making themselves known.

This year, we renew our focus on finding opportunities in the Green Technology/Renewable Energy industry and have partnered with local, state, and federal government agencies to help you find these opportunities.
